CBR.com’s 10 Alternatives to D&D

This list definitely favors crunchy and tactical systems, which makes sense if you’re looking for something like D&D. By that criteria, we’re of the mind that Five Torches Deep should at least get an honorable mention, if not the privilege of knocking one of the three Paizo games off the list. But for something narrative-driven and streamlined, we’d have added one of any number of great games Powered by the Apocalypse.
